Ms. Cornelius teaches at Smith and Amherst colleges and performs with the Berkshire Symphony.
Ms. Jakuc-Leverett has recently retired as the Elsie Irwin Sweeney Professor of Music at Smith
College, where she taught since 1969. Ms. Pelletier serves on the faculty of the Greenwood
Music Camp and teaches cello at Smith College. Reception following the concert.

Myth Matters: Voices from the Earth
Dr W. Sheldon Hurst, Academic Dean, Adirondack Community College, NYU
Myths of the earth speak to us today even as they have in centuries past. Dr. Hurst will explore
mythic dimensions of Zola's novel La Terre (The Earth or The Soil) and selected works of art from
19th century France in an attempt to gain insight into our lives as people of the earth in the 21st
century. Slides and poetry will be included.

This classic 1921 film is based on the novel by French author, Émil Zola. Mr. Krasinski won first
prize in improvisation in the AGO National Competition in Philadelphia in 2002.

Mr. Enlow is Professor of Organ at the Julliard School of Music in New York City, and has appeared in
concert throughout the world. In a recent visit to the United Congregational Church, he
said that the main sanctuary organ was perhaps the finest instrument in New England.

portrays the triumph of the Communist Revolution during the ten days that shook the world in Octo-
